About Look Vibrant:
Montreal’s experimental, noisy indie pop four-piece Look Vibrant are a wonderpot of inventiveness and immediacy. After releasing two singles of pure noise music (Plateau and Sweater in the Lake), and an EP of polished indie pop (Only Qualms) their debut album, The Up Here Place, perfectly combines the two into a product equally refined and unhinged. The songs teeter on the brink, threatening to fall apart at your feet, while somehow remaining intact by a logic that is uniquely Look Vibrant. Thematically, the album is an exploration of naive ambition, the constant need to reach ever growing heights, and the inevitable sharp drop that comes in its wake. Recently Look Vibrant has performed alongside notable acts including Anderson. Paak, Wild Nothing, PALM, Micachu and the Shapes, Alvvays and Will Butler of Arcade Fire.
“Although it hasn’t quite hit Merriweather Post Pavillion cult status yet, Look Vibrant’s effervescent new record has all the makings of becoming your next experimental noise-pop fave.” – Stereogum
“The clip for Look Vibrant’s “Miracle” is an exercise in dreamlike surrealism, as the Montreal art-rockers are literally pulled apart and interact with an assortment of unusual characters and objects […] Needless to say, it’s NSFW but also a must-watch (how’s that for a paradox?)” – Noisey by Vice
“Their latest single, “Bull & Eagle,” seems to move at 1000 km/h, with quick, summery guitar licks and an underpinning of moderately off-kilter keys to give it some extra spice. Put this one on repeat.” – Gray Owl Point
“Brace yourself! This Montreal-based band is packed full of energy and likely to blow your socks off. At least, that’s what they did for me.” – Indie Shuffle
